Enraptured!

Laura Veirs manages to look completely different in every picture taken of her. Compare the image on her latest CD - Year of Meteors, to how she looks in her recent KCRW Gig. Her music is always beautiful, minimalist, introspective. Look for 'Spelunking' and 'Magnetized' starting at about 22:30 minutes into the gig, both from 'Year of Meteors'. My favourite though is 'Rapture', from Carbon Glacier her previous album. "With photographs / And magnetic tape / We capture / Pretty animals in cages / Pretty flowers in vases / Enraptured ..."
